Background Story

A unique story- Jay Peters started Spectrum Cleaning & Restoration in St. Louis, MO in 1985 and quickly grew his business. He helped others enter the industry and established a network of independently owned (non-franchise) locations across the country. He trained and advised these business owners for years on a handshake that when Jay set up a franchise entity, they would join forces. In 2019, Justin & Raymond Donat, and Chris Coleman helped Jay restructure and rename the network to True North Restoration.

What Makes True North Restoration Different?

At True North, the focus is on the franchisees and creating an ecosystem where help, a sounding board, a new idea, accountability, and a trusted group of peers are only a call away. There is more interaction between owners than in most franchise concepts.

Our main purpose at True North is to glorify God in all that we do.

Justin grew up on a small farm in Southwest Missouri and went to the University of Arkansas for undergrad and received his MBA at John Brown University. Justin loves spending time with his wife and 2 kids riding bikes, hiking, and skiing.

As a seasoned franchise executive and franchise owner, Chris brings a variety of experiences and roles in entrepreneurship to those he’s fortunate enough to cross paths with. Chris started off out of college in auto body, transitioned to multi-state franchise ownership, and then to business consulting. He’s filled blue-collar to executive-level roles and loved each of them.

As a partner and Chief Franchise Officer with True North Restoration, he’s grateful for the opportunity to help others achieve their goals of business ownership with our amazing concept and culture.
